Broadway Market in London

Reaching in length along the distance of Regent’s canal London, Fields Park is the Broadway Market that is found at the far north of the East End and has been opened weekly since the 1890s making it a traditional mainstay in the East End. Today you can find over 80 stalls set up weekly that serve up the best in food market goods including fair trade coffee, local flowers, organic meat, fresh produce, artisanal food, handmade crafts, and plenty of vintage clothes to make even the most experienced shopper take a second look.

Every Saturday the Broadway food market opens up to the public at 9am sharp and usually by afternoon the street is busy with residents that are grabbing their groceries, the smells of Caribbean rice cooking, hipsters grabbing a cup of Thai green curry to nurse off their hangovers, kids looking for treats, and tourists taking pictures of just about everything and every street performer. In short, the area is almost as great to explore as a social observation of society in full swing as it is to explore from a consumer’s point of view making it a must see attraction while in London over the weekend.
